Halley (“we”, “us”, or “our”) operates the Halley mobile application (the “App”). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our App, in compliance with the Malaysia Personal Data Protection Act 2010 (PDPA).

Halley is a free app supported by advertising. We use Google AdMob to serve rewarded video ads. AdMob may collect device identifiers and usage data to serve relevant ads. You can opt out of personalised advertising in your device settings.
Your data is stored on secure servers hosted in the Southeast Asia region (Singapore). We use industry-standard encryption (HTTPS/TLS) for data in transit and at rest. Profile photos are stored on AWS S3 and served through CloudFront CDN with signed URLs for access control.
Cross-border transfers: Your personal data may be transferred to and processed in Singapore, where our primary servers are located. Some data processors (Firebase, AdMob, Sentry) may process data in other jurisdictions. We ensure that adequate safeguards are in place, including contractual obligations with our data processors, to protect your personal data in accordance with the PDPA. By using the App, you consent to the transfer of your data to these jurisdictions.

We retain your data as long as your account is active. When you delete your account, we remove your profile and personal data within 30 days. Some data may be retained longer for legal or safety purposes (e.g., reports of abuse).
Halley is intended for users aged 18 and above. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18. All users must provide their date of birth during registration, and the App verifies that users meet the minimum age requirement. If we become aware that we have collected data from someone under 18, we will delete it immediately.
We comply with the Malaysia Personal Data Protection Act 2010 (PDPA). Your personal data is processed in accordance with the PDPA principles, including the General Principle, Notice and Choice Principle, Disclosure Principle, Security Principle, Retention Principle, Data Integrity Principle, and Access Principle.
